Kentucky State Meet Qualifying Rules: Optional gymnasts may achieve the qualifying score (31.00 for levels 6 – 8 and 32.00 for levels 9 & 10) at any USA Gymnastics sanctioned competition. Optional gymnasts using any non KQ meet to qualify to state you must send a copy of the results to Brian Blewitt, email@example.com Event Specialist: Optional level gymnast may enter KY State meet as an event specialist and must qualify by achieving a score of 8.50 per event at any USA Gymnastics sanctioned competition in any state. An event score from an all-around score in any sanctioned meet can be used to qualify to the State Championship meet. The State committees will not require that the gymnast needs to designate that they are competing as an individual specialist in prestate meet competitions. Coaches must declare on the State Entry Form if the athlete is an event specialist or all-around, and they MUST compete that way at State and above. Late Qualifiers: List athletes who are attempting to qualify at the bottom and list the competition that they will attempt qualifying in. DO NOT pay their fees if they haven’t qualified. On the Monday following the qualifying meet, you must call the meet director and let them know if they qualified. A check must be postmarked on the Monday following the qualifying meet or you will owe the late fee! Individual Awards: Individual events will go out 50% per age group. All-around Awards will go out 100% per age group.
Team Awards: The top 3 scores per event will be used to calculate all team awards. There must be three or more gymnasts to be considered a team. Every team that pays a team entry fee will receive a team award.
