Criteria for being assigned to State, Regional, & National Championships
Goal: It is our goal as a committee to have our best judges on the floor representing the state of Kentucky. The committee will select judges that have shown leadership in our state and region by actively judging in the JO program, volunteering at state and regional events, and by having a positive relationship with the gymnastics community.
Selection numbers: This year we have 21 judges to rank for consideration this championship season. Qualities for consideration:
a) Judges that are actively judging in the JO program both within our state and region
b) Judges that are giving back to our community by volunteering and state clinics and regional training camps
c) Judges that have established a positive relationship with coaches, athletes, & judges in our community
d) Judges that continued their education and the types of continued education
e) Judges rating and the time they have held their rating
f) Judges availability and affiliation can also be taken into consideration but will also be handled by the assigning party
Eligibility for regional and state assignments:
a) Must have completed the online form by the deadline.
b) Passed the new exams and have the appropriate rating
c) All assignments must be current and active with USA Gymnastics & NAWGJ
d) While the Regional Administrative Committee still sees value in and encourages judges’ participation in Regional Training Camps, it will no longer be required in the selection of judges for Regionals/Nationals.
